Boys toys:

This link was printed in the MECH forum. Its worth passing on to any club members who are keen full size fans (ian?). The photo album is described as an alternative design history – really very well done. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/39414-thompsons-great-northern-2-8-2/

Brian Nicholls has recently completed 2 X 6" vertical pumps. This link takes you to a video of them being tested on air. One will be fitted to his 7 1/4" Wren to replace the smaller one hehad fitted previously. As well as a visual talking point, they seem to be very efficient and reliable at delivering water to the boiler. In the test they were easily delivering 2 pints per minute.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9lm8BFu0SA
